Retro-Bit Controllers Coming to E3 2013 Dylan Duarte May 16, 2013 Those who love retro gaming should pay attention to what Innex, Inc. and Retro-Bit will be debuting at this year’s E3. At the June event, they’ll be showing off their new Hypermode Series, controllers designed specifically for playing games with older consoles. While the NES/SNES and the Genesis controllers can both be used with their respective consoles or a PC, the Nintendo 64 controller is not PC-compatible, meaning only gamers who actually own a Nintendo 64 console can use it. It’s a very specific demographic, but also a very passionate one. Innex, Inc. is very well known for their products in this space and are well known for products like the previously reviewed Retro Duo Portable System and the Super Retro Duo Console. Every controller functions like its predecessor, but also allows for “turbo-type functionality” so you can relive the frustrating days of someone having a special controller that gives them an edge. This time, however, you can be on the winning side. The controllers will make their debut at E3, but won’t actually be available for purchase until Fall of this year.
