Electronic Arts May Not Publish Any More Wii U Titles Dylan Duarte May 17, 2013 Things aren’t looking good for Nintendo. While just a few years ago they were riding high on the tremendous success of the Wii, the Wii U has been a financial disappointment, and it looks like things are just going to get worse for the innovative yet struggling console. Last week we told you that Electronic Arts’s new Star Wars titles, which are being published under a semi-exclusive deal with Disney, are more than likely skipping the Wii U due to Nintendo’s console not being able to support the Frostbite 3 engine. If that weren’t bad enough, it gets worse. While talking to Kotaku, Electronic Arts spokesman Jeff Brown dropped the news that Electronic Arts isn’t currently publishing anything for the Nintendo Wii U, period. Making matters sound even more dire, Brown then goes on to say that they’ve fulfilled their obligation regarding the “partnership” that EA CEO John Riccitiello mentioned at E3 two years ago. This doesn’t mean that EA is done publishing Wii U titles, but it certainly doesn’t sound promising. via The Verge Share This With The World!
