So you say you love rafting, and you also love camping? What you need is a Shoal Tent. This combines an inflatable raft with a tent, allowing you to float along in comfort. You’ll want to limit yourself to calm waters, of course, but imagine how relaxing it would be to lay in your tent at night, being gently rocked by the movement of your favourite pond or small lake.

Shoal Tent’s footprint is 8′ x 8′, and anyone under 6′ 3″ tall can sleep or stand comfortably in the tent. If you’re taller than that, you can either sleep diagonally or rest your head on the inflatable tubes. Speaking of tubes, the raft has three air chambers: two in the lower tube, one in the structure. The floor is 6 inches deep, and doubles as your air mattress. The tubes inflate to 3 PSI and the drop stitched floor inflates to 10 PSI.

When deflated and stored in its included carry/storage bag, Shoal Tent measures just 60″x24″x18″ and weighs about 50 pounds. It also comes with a patch kit and manual foot pump. There are no tent poles, so no worries about puncturing the raft. Instead, it’s inflatable, and is supposed to stand up to high winds without a problem. The tent fabric is heavy duty, waterproof, and sealed with heavy duty #8 zippers. The top and sides also all attach using heavy-duty hook and loop so you can get in or out quickly and easily in case there’s a problem.

Shoal Tent is available for pre-order now at a cost of $1,274.15 US (15% off MSRP), with shipping expected in late December or early January.
