The Super Retro Console is Perfect for Retro Gaming superretrotrio

As an avid gamer, I adore retro games. Not because I’m a hipster or anything like that, but because “retro” games were just so fun and charming. Fortunately, retro gaming is more popular than ever and companies like Innex are helping to keep it alive.

Innex, a videogame accessories company based out of Pomona, California, has announced the upcoming release of the Super Retro Console, which really couldn’t be more appropriately named. The console allows you to play Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis games directly from their original cartridges, while the Super Retro Adapter will let you play Game Boy Advance games. This is similar to the Retro Duo Portable that we reviewed earlier, but plays more than just NES/SNES games.

The Super Retro Trio is a 3-in-1 home system that features three cartridge slots, six controller ports (that accept original and third party controllers, comes with two controllers, and can hook-up via S-video or AV. The Super Retro Adapter allows you to play GBA games on the Retro console, SNES, or any third party 16-bit console. The two products will retail for $69.99 and $39.99 respectively, while the bundle will cost $89.99.

The console will debut at this year’s E3.
