I was surprisingly impressed when I reviewed the Sharp-branded Roku TV last year. Here was a relatively inexpensive HDTV that had all the goodness of a Roku built right into it. The problem, if you can call it that, is that it was only full HD. If you’re itching to get more pixels, the new Insignia 4K TVs could be just the ticket and they’re still rocking the full Roku TV integration as their full HD counterparts.

From what I can gather, both the Sharp Roku TV and the Insignia 4K TVs come from the same manufacturer, as Best Buy uses Insignia as an in-house brand and it licensed the Sharp name to sell some of its TVs. The same experience carries through on these new televisions with the Roku OS, which can be controlled through the simple remote or through a smartphone app. You get direct access to over 1,700 streaming channels in Canada, including Netflix, YouTube and Spotify.

The 4K UHD Insignia Roku TV models are powered by a powerful quad-core processor and come with 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi for optimal connectivity. After all, if you’re going to be streaming your content over the Internet, you’ll want to have a rock solid connection. That’s how you get a smooth UHD streaming experience.

New Insignia 4K TVs Have Roku-Ness Built Into Them

Exclusively available at Best Buy, the 43-inch and 50-inch versions of the LED Insignia 4K Roku TV are priced at $599.99 and $799.99, respectively.
