Keep Your Tootsies Toasty With ThermaCell Remote Controlled Heated Shoe Inserts Beth Snyder October 24, 2012 Winter is coming, if it’s not already here wherever you live. Which sounds ridiculous to me, but my best friend in Tahoe sent me photographic evidence of the several inches of snow on top of about a inch of ice they got this week, so I know it’s happening. Just a few days ago, I told you about a 13-Hour Heated Jacket, and now I’ve got something for your feet to go with it. ThermaCell has made these insoles that can be heated, and I think they’re fabulous. They have a built-in thermostat and wireless remote control, so you can manage the temperature of your feet without the hassle of having to pull your boots on and off. These are even better in that they don’t involve any wires, battery packs, or other external means of powering them that you’d have to mount on your foot or ankle in some way. Instead, it uses Lithium ion polymer batteries which are embedded in the insoles, and of course are rechargeable. There are three different settings: No heat (or as I would have called it, off), medium (100F) and high (111F). The batteries can be charged up to 500 times before you’ll need to replace them, giving you up to 2500 hours of warmth. The charger is included. These are available in small, medium, large and extra-large, with pricing ranging from around $123.00 US to $175.00 US per pair. Source: Craziest Gadgets Share This With The World!
