Forget the bevy of software announcements that Apple made at this year’s WWDC. I already have. The real news is on the hardware side of things, where we didn’t see any new phones, accessories, tablets, or anything of real value, but we did get a look at the new summer 2018 seasonal colors that adorn the new Apple Watch Sport Bands.

Who needs a new Apple Watch when you can just change the band on your old one to peach, marine green, or sky blue? And it will only set you back $49 for either the 42mm or 38mm size.

While Apple didn’t specifically address the issue of the MacBook Pro’s broken butterfly keyboards, I think we can all agree that the new iPhone silicone cases more than make up for that pretty significant hardware failure. The cases come in the same colors as the watch bands, fit the iPhone X, 8 Plus, and 7 Plus models, and costs $39 each.

At the keynote, Apple specifically referenced the rainbow-colored Pride Edition Apple Watch band. The band obviously ties into Pride month and a portion of the $49 price will go towards LGBTQ advocacy organizations and oh no I need to stop being sarcastic for a minute because that’s actually pretty cool.

And I’m back! Who even wants new hardware when we get brightly color material to wrap our existing hardware in? That’s pretty much the same thing, right? Nailed it, Apple.
