Keep Your Screens Clean With Your Button Down Shirt Beth Snyder June 23, 2013 We all do it, even though we know we’re not supposed to, especially if we’re not using a screen protector. Your phone’s screen gets covered with fingerprints or lord knows what, making it hard to see what you’re doing. So instead of using a microfiber cloth (which, let’s face it, most of us don’t carry), we instead swipe it with our sleeves, or the tail of our shirts. Which not only doesn’t really work all that well for cleaning, it runs the risk of scratching the screen in the process. I am particularly bad about it, and typically replace my screen protector about every six months due to its being scratched. At least it’s not my actual screen! Anyway, about that whole carrying a microfiber cloth thing…this is an Oxford shirt that has one built into its tail. Which means you can go with your original impulse to use the tail of your shirt to clean your screen and still win! The shirt is even summerweight, which means you can wear it without fear of overheating for the sake of a built-in microfiber cleaning cloth. And it’s only a small patch, so the tail isn’t stiff or funny-looking, and you also don’t have to wear a double-thickness of fabric over your entire torso. The shirt itself is handmade in New York from Imperial Oxford cotton (imported from England), and features mother of pearl buttons, a pocket designed to hold sunglasses or phones, and is completely machine washable. What it isn’t, though, is in stock. They’re currently sold out. But…you can put yourself on the email list to get in on the next batch of them. The current, sold-out batch was available in white with light blue gingham only, but future batches will come in more colours. Cost for each shirt is $98.00 US, and they are made to order (allow three or so weeks for delivery). Source: Damn Geeky Share This With The World!
