Xbox One Will Run Windows 8 Apps, According to Dell Dylan Duarte October 21, 2013 Microsoft has been pushing a unified Windows experience for a while now, as it’s easier to herald in the robot apocalypse if all of the electronics are communicating with one another. According to a post on Dell’s website, the Xbox One will be the latest device to run Windows 8 applications. “Now your phone, desktop, tablet and TV can all give you a unified web and entertainment experience,” reads the Skynet propaganda Dell website. Now, Dell isn’t the be-all, end-all of sources. Keep in mind that Microsoft said themselves a while back that Xbox One wouldn’t be cross-compatible with Windows 8 apps without some needed tweaking. That could’ve changed, of course; having the Xbox One as part of the Windows 8 “family” would certainly help that unified front of theirs. On the other hand, Dell could simply be misinformed. We likely won’t know for sure until Microsoft says something on the issue. via Engadget Share This With The World!
