I know, I know…this is a US-specific holiday and we are an international site. However, sometimes I have to do one, usually because it has personal meaning for me. Besides, just because you don’t happen to live in the US, it doesn’t mean you can’t honour those who serve (or have served) in your military. Me, I happen to be dating someone who has been to Iraq twice and just signed up for another six years. I also have several military members (both past and present) in my family. So I’m taking this opportunity to thank each and every person who has ever, or is currently, serving their country in its military. I understand the hardships you and your families endure, and I truly appreciate your willingness to do so.
