TAG Heuer Teaming up with Intel to Produce Android Wear Smartwatch Dylan Duarte March 19, 2015 News Jean-Claude Biver, head of the LVMH Watch Group and CEO of Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer, just gave the smartwatch industry a huge boost in credibility by agreeing to partner with Intel to produce an Android Wear device. Biver has recently been critical of the Apple Watch and smartwatches in general, pointing out that consumers are likely to spend a lot of money on a device that will see a bigger, better successor in a small amount of time. However, Biver is a businessman, one that’s been praised for being open-minded and willing to take risks. Despite his personal reservations about smartwatches, the man didn’t get to where he is by ignoring trends. This could be fantastic for the smartwatch market, because it’s already become a market full of devices that wouldn’t look appealing strapped to your wrist. Hopefully with the Swiss watch industry involved, we’ll get some devices that carry the class and elegance of traditional, Swiss-made timepieces. via Tech Crunch Share This With The World!
