Linksys Makes it Easy to Share Your Wi-Fi Dylan Duarte July 22, 2016 News It’s a question that comes up every time somebody visits somebody else’s house: “Can I have your Wi-Fi password?” Most people I know keep their password stuck on the fridge, or somewhere else easily seen by visitors. Everyone has one of those friends who never changed the password, so you have to hunt down their modem and read the sticker on the side of it. Then, of course, there’s the dreaded “I don’t know what the password is.” This will make most of those situations a heck of a lot easier. Linksys’ Smart Wi-Fi app pairs with your router and makes it easier to interact with. Their iOS and Android app now lets users share guest Wi-Fi names and passwords through email or text. You can provide guest access to up to 50 people and even prioritize bandwidth to certain devices. Yes, Google and Asus already offer the same feature with their services. It’s nice to see Linksys coming onboard. Internet is life, and difficult-to-access Wi-Fi is a killer. Share This With The World!
