Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit Will Sell for $295 and $197 Dylan Duarte March 21, 2014 While tech news is all fine and dandy, there’s always a certain disappointment when learning about a cool new gadget and yet knowing nothing about when it’s coming or what it will cost. Fortunately, Samsung just announced the prices of the Gear 2 and Gear Fit smartwatches. Both will be hitting shelves in April and when they do so the Gear 2 will be $295 and the Gear Fit will be $197. This makes them both cheaper than the original Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which runs $300, and cheaper is always better. The Gear Fit’s lower price tag makes sense, given its smaller screen and limited functionality, but both watches look great and it’s good to have two different pricing options. The Gear Fit appeals to me more, personally, and not just because of the price. I like the idea of having something slimmer if I’m going to be wearing it on my wrist. Now we will have to wait and see how the new Gear family will compete with the upcoming Android Wear-powered smartwatches from Motorola and LG. via Tech Crunch Share This With The World!
