Get Rogers Unlimited Prepaid Plan for Only $10 a Month Michael Kwan March 26, 2016 News Some people need thousands of minutes and gigabytes upon gigabytes of data every month in order to satiate their mobile needs. This new unlimited prepaid plan from Rogers Wireless may not be appropriate for those kinds of users, but you really can’t complain about the price. It works out to just ten bucks a month and it really does come with some unlimited goodness. Of course, you’re not going to get unlimited data. In fact, this prepaid plan includes no data at all. Instead, the ten bucks will buy you unlimited texting to Canadian numbers, plus unlimited local calling on evenings (6pm to 7am) and weekends. That’s perfect for weekend warriors or for teens who would like prefer texting over calling anyway. The plan also bundles in call display, voice mail and call waiting. There are a couple of catches. First, you do have to prepay for the whole year ahead of time. That means you’ve got to pay $120 up front. The other catch, which isn’t really a catch, is that you will need to supply a phone. You can nab a cheap prepaid phone from Rogers or you can bring your own Rogers (or unlocked) phone. The plan tosses in 50 minutes for emergency daytime calling too; that’s for the whole year, not per month. Extra daytime minutes are 50 cents each. It may not be for everyone, but a $10/month prepaid plan is a pretty good deal for casual users, heavy texters and as a “backup” emergency phone to lend to out-of-town visitors.
