Pickup Power is Simply Brilliant Beth Snyder November 11, 2014 It’s a recurring theme around here: gadgets and their power consumption. Even if you don’t carry many gadgets, odds are really good you also carry at least a charging cord if not a portable charger. And you have at least one (and most likely more) power strip at home. The thing is, often your power strip’s available outlets are taken up by the various devices you keep around the house, so having to plug your portable charger in as well means you have to unplug something else. Not with Pickup Power, you don’t! Pickup Power is a power strip that houses a portable charger, so it doesn’t take up an outlet or any extra space on your desk. It has three outlets for charging (or simply powering) whatever you wish, and in addition it has a removable battery you can take on the go. The portable battery is available in either 4,000 or 6,000 mAH, depending on what you need. Pickup Power doesn’t come cheap if you compare its cost to other power strips, but it’s actually pretty average in price if you compare it to portable chargers. $85.00 US will get you a 4000 mAH Pickup Power, while the 6000 mAH costs $105.00 US. The 4000 mAH version can charge a smartphone twice before needing to be recharged, while the 6000 mAH can charge a smartphone three times. Either capacity comes in black or white.
