Now You Can Charge Mobile Devices With the Sanyo Mobile USB Booster Stick Beth Snyder July 2, 2011 If you use a lot of AA batteries, you’ve probably gone to the rechargeable type to not only save money but lessen your impact on the environment. But then you find yourself out somewhere with perfectly good AA batteries but a dead device that needs charging via USB. As we all purchase more and more gadgets, and as gadgets include more and more features, this problem is going to come up a lot more often. Well, now you can add a device to your inventory that can help you out. The Sanyo Eneloop Mobile Booster uses two AA batteries (preferably rechargeable, but it will work with the regular ones if that’s all you have) to charge USB devices. Using it can give you up to 90 minutes more power to your device, so depending on what you need to charge that could get you out of a fairly serious jam. It comes with two Eneloop rechargeable batteries, but of course you can use your own if you have them as well. Depending on how many you have, you could keep your phone or other device running for hours. Now the details. It measures 148 x 18m (5.82 x 0.7″) and weighs 76g (with batteries) (2.7 oz). Power output is 5V/500mA (USB-A), and it comes with a micro USB adapter and USB cord. The biggest negative here is that you can’t use it to recharge the batteries, so you’ll have to find actual power eventually. There is a separate charger available for purchase for the included Eneloop batteries…or you could just use your own batteries which already came with one. Suggested retail cost is $69.00 US, but if you shop around you can find one for considerably less. Source: Technabob Share This With The World!
