Bursts of ingenuity can come from the most unlikely places, so it’s important to keep an open mind when looking for ideas and not be afraid to explore avenues that are seemingly completely unrelated to what you’re trying to accomplish. I have to imagine the folks at Innerexile were reading Wolverine comics when they came up with their self-healing iPhone case. Unfortunately, Innerexile’s cases aren’t widely available, but Just Mobile has stepped up with their own self-healing Tenc cases which are available for purchase right now. Zach Epstein over at BGR took his time scratching these things to hell and back and was pleased with the results. As he points out, the case only self-heals from “surface scratches” so it should handle normal wear and tear with ease, but anything too deep will be permanent.
