The latest development is Ford’s Speed Limiter feature, which will make sure you’re staying under the speed limit. It’s two technologies in one. It can recognize traffic signs and bring that information directly do you, in case you miss it. In this case, it reads speed limit signs, and if it detects that you’re going over the limit, the speed limiter can kick in and bring you down to speed. If you’re using GPS, the speed limiter can also use the data from the maps to figure out local limits. This is only being rolled out in Europe at the moment, so you speed demons in North America have no reason to panic. By all means, keep that pedal to the metal and tear up those roads!
