What is one of the most common complaints you hear about modern smartphones? You never seem to have enough juice, forcing you to search for the nearest power outlet or pack along one of those USB power banks everywhere you go. Acer might not be offering the highest end specs with its new Liquid Zest Plus, but this $250 smartphone has got one of the biggest batteries on the block.

While the 5,000mAh battery found within isn’t quite as outrageous as you might find with some other phones, it is easily one of the largest for an otherwise “mainstream” device. With that much juice in tow, the Acer Liquid Zest Plus should be able to provide a legitimate two days of battery life between charges. That’s very reassuring.

The rest of the spec sheet is roughly as you would expect for a low-end to mid-range Android smartphone like this. The 5.5-inch display is full HD 1920 x 1080 and it’s powered by a MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, Android 6.0, a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera. Not amazing, but perfectly adequate, especially at the $250 price point and with the giant battery, even if the design is pretty generic.

You have to remember that most other Android flagships, which would sell for easily more than twice the price of this phone, typically only come with batteries in the 2,500 to 3,000 mAh range. The lower end specs and the lack of a QHD display should further help extend battery life too.
