EA Star Wars Titles Likely to Skip Wii U Dylan Duarte May 8, 2013 Yesterday news broke that Electronic Arts will be publishing Star Wars games almost exclusively for several years. While most gamers didn’t react favorably to that news, I would argue that the thought of Star Wars games from DICE, Visceral Games, and BioWare (who developed Knights of the Old Republic) is incredibly exciting; but whatever, Electronic Arts is apparently the devil. This is bad news for Wii U owners, however, as the upcoming Star Wars titles will all run on the Frostbite 3 engine, an engine that isn’t supported by Nintendo’s latest console. Electronic Arts hasn’t completely ruled out the prospect of bringing some form of the FB3 engine to the Wii U, but they certainly haven’t been talking about it, either. This could be bad news for both Wii U owners and EA, as the latter stands to lose a decent chunk of change if Nintendo owners can’t purchase the titles. Then again, with the Wii U’s poor sales, EA might decide that it’s just not worth it. via The Verge Share This With The World!
