The News: Wednesday, May 8 Edition

Today should prove to be interesting. I’m actually working again for the first time in over a week, and I have no earthly idea if it’s going to be four hours or twelve, or somewhere in between. A really cool thing happened last night, though! A little before 9pm my phone rang, with a local number I didn’t know, so I let it go to voicemail. Turns out it was the dentist who did my root canal yesterday morning, calling from home, to see how I was doing. I had no idea anyone still did that, but it absolutely guarantees I’ll use him every single time, and recommend him to friends. He was also not just wonderful but a hoot as well the entire appointment. You pretty much have to label a dentist a keeper who can make you giggle while he’s doing a root canal.
