Cook Like a Professional at Home with Forage Beth Snyder August 8, 2014 We’ve all had this happen. You’re at a restaurant, and the dish you’ve ordered is so amazing you simply MUST have the recipe! Most restaurants won’t share, however, and thus the umpteen websites of “copycat” recipes were born. Forage aims to change that for the better, and I have to admit I’m intrigued. I cook, and experimenting is certainly not out of the question, but sometimes ingredients are too expensive to take a chance. What Forage does is send you a package containing pre-prepped ingredients so you can duplicate professional-grade meals right in your kitchen. Not only that, but since everything is already prepped, it cuts down your cooking time considerably. Forage collects the “best recipes from notable restaurants” and delivers them to you, and all you have to do is follow the directions using the kit. They even include tips from the chef who created the recipe! The service is based in San Francisco, and is currently in the equivalent of beta testing. You can sign up for early access on their webpage, but I’m unable to find out how much the service costs. I’m sure it’s not cheap, especially if they’re shipping fresh ingredients long distances. But if you’re pressed for time and don’t want to resort to frozen dinners or takeout, this could very well be the dinner solution you’re looking for. Source: Laughing Squid Share This With The World!
