This 43 year old man managed to escape the carnage of Ishinomaki in Japan's Miyagi Prefecture only to learn that his wife was one of the missing people. He then pulls out the cliche super hero antics and goes off to rescue her. Keep in mind this man plans to attempt a disaster movie style rescue like he was starring in 2012 with no stuntmen, no CGI, and real life-threatening danger.

After consulting with several ad agencies for Portal 2's upcoming campaign, Valve has decide ad agencies are completely useless. Valve reports all they received from these so-called creative think tanks were copied material from other current ads and cliche material done thousands of times before. Doug Lombardi, head of marketing for Valve, decided the best people to advertise a game was the people making it.

The answer Microsoft Chief Research and Technology Officer Craig Mundie gave was yes. He demonstrated this new UI on the Microsoft Surface 2 using his Windows 7 Smart phone as a motion based controller.

AOL Cuts 900 Jobs to Rebuild Company

The plan is the same plan every dying company has used since business began, diversify. Since I am sure you haven't thought about AOL in 8 years, they acquired TechCrunch and Huffington Post. This gives them a rather large section of their company dedicated to news as these new additions join AOL owned Engadget. We will see if this new focus can turn their company around and hopefully provide growth for the American brand.
