Arrested Development Season 4 Pirated Over 100,000 Times in First 24 Hours Dylan Duarte May 30, 2013 The much-anticipated fourth season of Arrested Development premiered Sunday exclusively on Netflix. While we don’t yet know how many people have watched it legally, we know now that the season was illegally downloaded more than 100,00 times in the first 24 hours. Before you ball your fists, look to the sky, and shout “this is why we can’t have nice things,” let me play devil’s advocate for a minute. Arrested Development is exclusive to Netflix, a service that is unavailable in a staggering number of countries. That means that Arrested Development fans in Australia, New Zealand, Russia, China, Japan, France, Iceland, Germany, Italy, India, Spain, South Korea – the list goes on – have no legal way of watching the show’s newest season. Of course, you could argue that that’s no excuse, and that they could wait for an eventual DVD release, but hopefully that will help put the situation in perspective and put a stop to any knee-jerk reactions. via The Verge Share This With The World!
