Tim Cook Talks: The D11 Interview Allan Schroeder May 30, 2013 Apple CEO Tim Cook recently sat down with All Things Digital‘s Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher at the D11 conference. He answered a myriad of questions related to Apple, its new products and maybe most importantly, “Has Apple Lost Its Cool?” Apple has most certainly not lost its cool replied Tim Cook, one of the few direct answers given to during the almost 90 minute interview. Cook touched on subjects ranging from improvements in upcoming OS’s, wearable products and their unwavering commitment to creating the best products and services that will enrich people’s lives. While not thrilled about the appeal of Google Glass, Cook is very excited about the “wearable” accessories and what the future holds for them. He stated that in the “arc of time, it will become clearer” and many new opportunities will present themselves including “field sensors” and it’s currently an exciting time for the development of new products. With the impending release of iOS 7 and OS X 10.9, we’re to expect some exciting new features and services. Cook did point out that opening up the software can present risk to the end user but did go on to say that they would be opening up the OS to more development. Tim dodged many of the questions in regards to an Apple TV, and it seems while this may be a project under development, it’s certainly on the backburner. It seems that as usual, Apple likes to keep its cards close to its chest and only play them when the time is right. As Apple likes surprises, I’m sure there will be a few more in store for us very soon. Source: All Things Digital Share This With The World!
