Starting December 15th, Sonos users will be able to take part in the public beta for Apple Music on Sonos, which will include features like New, Radio, My Music, and For You.

Both Sonos co-founder and CEO John MacFarlane and Apple senior vice president of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue expressed excitement over this partnership, and why wouldn’t they? Apple Music is establishing itself as a major player in the world of streaming music and Sonos provides an excellent way to get into tech-savvy homes.

I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to music, to the point where I don’t even make playlists; when one song ends, I choose the next based on what I’m feeling. Apple Music seems to be targetting listeners like me by heavily promoting how good their curation is. This seems especially important for houses that are wired up with products like Sonos, because you’re going to be walking around and going about your day and you can’t keep coming back to your music device to tweak your playlist or choose a new song.
