VAIO Coming to CES Without Sony Dylan Duarte December 29, 2014 Everyone has heard some variation of the phrase “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” but did you know that this applies to billion-dollar companies as well? That seems to be what’s happening with Japan Industrial Partners, who last year bought the VAIO brand when Sony decided to bow out of the personal computer industry entirely. Of course, Japan Industrial Partners didn’t buy VAIO to simply sit on it. They’re relaunching the brand with not only new PC products, but possibly some smartphones as well. The new and improved VAIO will be making an appearance at the CES trade show next week in Las Vegas where we might get our first glimpse of the new handheld devices. We know next to nothing about the smartphones at this point, but it’s a safe bet that they’ll be running Android when they debut. Hopefully we’ll have some actual concrete details as early as next week. via Mobile Burn Share This With The World!
