100+ New Features Demonstrated in iOS 11 (Video) Michael Kwan June 7, 2017 News Between the new HomePod smart speaker and the announcement of AR for your iPhone, Apple had a lot to tell us during the WWDC keynote presentation earlier this week. They also announced iOS 11, but simply didn’t have the time to go over all the new features. The video below, though, showcases over 100 such new features for one of the biggest updates to Apple’s mobile OS to date. The video comes by way of 9to5Mac, which has painstakingly outlined the many new features found in the iOS 11 beta, both on the iPad and on the iPhone. You’ll want to get comfortable with your frosty beverage of choice, as the video runs for over 27 minutes. That’s TV sitcom territory. The App Switcher now looks totally different, for instance, as it integrates the Control Center for all of your settings. You’ll also notice that you can now place up to 15 apps in the iPad Dock, including the ability to multi-select the apps you want to drag to it. The multitasking has also been completely revamped with dragging the overlay windows and with new Split View proportions. You can drag and drop URLs, drag and drop icons on the home screen, and scan documents. Use your Apple Pencil to markup your screenshots and share them at will. Other highlights include new animations, new icons, and a new Siri interface too. Of course, this is just the beta, so there may still be some changes before the official public release of iOS 11.
