USB Toast Hand Warmers: Silly, Yet Practical Beth Snyder November 9, 2012 Extras Sometimes, the thing that makes you laugh the hardest works the best. As opposed to the mousepad/blanket I’ve looked at recently, these are for use while you’re actually typing… which now that I think about it is infinitely more helpful for my always-cold hands. Besides, they look absolutely ridiculous, but not in a bad way. This is the kind of ridiculousness that fits right in with my sense of humour. Obviously, these come from the expression “warm as toast” or “toasty warm”. Because they are USB-powered heated gloves that look like pieces of toast. They even have eyes and a mouth, although I can’t decide if the faces are sleepy-dreaming-happy or stoned-dreamy-happy. Either way, I guess. Apparently, they are little toast guys, since they also have arms and legs. They only come in one size (listed as “one size fits most hand sizes”), so if yours are very small or very large they probably won’t work. The bonus to these is that while the tops of them look like large pieces of toast that cover your hands entirely, they actually are fingerless gloves, leaving you free to type how you normally would. These are listed as not suitable for children under six and do require a USB outlet to function. The heat settings are adjustable, and they come with a 1.5m USB cord. They do have an adjustable strap to allow you to fit them as needed. Each glove measures approximately 14cm(W) x 3cm(D) x 14cm(H) and weighs approximately 57g. It should be noted that since they are not made of actual toasted bread, you cannot eat them. But then you also don’t have to worry about getting crumbs in your keyboard. Each pair costs £24.99 (or about $40.00 US). Source: Foolish Gadgets Share This With The World!
