They snuck up on me this time! I’ve been minding my own business, periodically bookmarking pages with goofy flash drives, and somehow without my noticing I had more of them saved than I normally put in one post. Which means this one is jam-packed full of stuff for your viewing pleasure.

This first one is so darn cute it almost makes me sick. It’s not just flash drives (you get four of them), but a four-port hub as well. As you can see, it looks just like a toaster, and the flash drives are pieces of toast. You get potato, rye, butter and crisp toasts, each one offering up 4GB of storage. The hub also includes an SD card reader. And of course you can use any flash drive with the hub, as you can also use the flash drives with any other device. The bad part is all the parts are sold separately: $28.00 US for the toaster hub and $25.00 US each for the four flash drives.

Next we have one that isn’t necessarily silly looking, but incredibly practical. It’s a SanDisk UltraII 4GB SDHC card with a built in USB connector, which will come in handy for those of you who don’t have a card reader available. All you have to do is flip the SD card open, and the USB connector is right there so you can plug it into your computer. This will run you about $25.00 US.

I don’t know if this one actually exists or not, but I hope so. All I really found was a picture of it, but it would be nice if you could buy one. I mean, who couldn’t use an 8GB flash drive made out of cardboard? It kinda reminds me of the old Mission: Impossible show…”this flash drive will self-destruct in 30 seconds”. Or was that a different show? I can’t remember. Anyway, like I said, I have no actual information on this, I just thought it was neat.

MIMOBOTS!! I’ve always been partial to them, but even moreso with the new Star Wars series. They’re flash drives, they’re card readers, they’re full of fabulousness such as sound software and wallpapers and all the other good stuff you’ve come to expect. All fully licensed by Lucasfilms. Available from 4GB to 64GB for a variety of prices, these will be a welcome addition to any Star Wars fan’s collection.

Here we have something that’s not necessarily attractive or cool-looking, but useful for those of you who need your data with you but also find yourself in more physical situations than most folks who spend most of their time in an office. The Lacie RuggedKey can withstand a drop from 100 meters without batting an eye. It is also IP-54 rated, which means it is virtually impervious to dust, heat and cold as well as a dousing with water (although not submersion). The RuggedKey is available in 16GB ($39.99 US) and 32GB ($69.99 US).

Know anyone who plays poker? I used to, and it’s just his bad luck that he chose to walk away or I would get him one of these. Of course, then you run the risk of accidentally betting your data, but if you’re paying even a little bit of attention it should be fine. These 8GB flash drives are hidden away in a Poker Stars poker chip, and come in either crystal, ringstone or chrome finishes. Each one is going to cost you about $22.00 US.

As if I was going to pass this one by, even though I just wrote a full post on it not too long ago. Yep, it’s a MIMOBOT! Bruce Lee is dressed in a yellow tracksuit and carrying matching nunchuks. He’s even got the tiger claw scar on his cheek. As you know, he comes pre-loaded with wallpapers, icons, and sound effects. He’s available in 8GB to 64GB, with pricing ranging from $19.99 US to $69.99 US.

Last up is one for the Android fans among us. This cute little figurine of the famous Android robot houses a 32GB flash drive. He’s got a chrome finish, and blue eyes, and to use the flash drive you simply pop his cute little head right off. There is a keychain attachment so he doesn’t get lost when you take him out on the town. He’ll run you about $30.00 US.
