The News: Wednesday, July 10 Edition Beth Snyder July 10, 2013 Through the miracle of modern technology, I am writing and scheduling this affiliate news post whilst traveling high above the clouds between Salt Lake City and Detroit on Tuesday afternoon. Occasionally I look around me at the things we take for granted and I remember things…things like my grandma’s party line phone. Things like my rotary dial princess phone. Things like our black and white TV that you had to get up to change the channel, but that was OK because you also had to reposition the rabbit ears anyway. Things like having to absolutely depend on books or whatever during a flight because no one could even consider affording to make a phone call from one of those handsets mounted in the back of the seat in front of you. Today, I am using an internet connection that is exponentially faster than even my broadband at home. It’s good to be alive in this age.
