The News: Return of the Sun Edition Beth Snyder January 4, 2012 Depending on where you live, it’s either winter or summer. Here, it is winter. Granted, up to now it’s been a remarkably mild one, with actual rain falling on both Christmas and New Year’s. But that means the sun pretty much never shines. A few days ago it turned stupid cold and the snow started falling, and there was still no sun. Today, I woke up and was nearly blinded! Clear, bright blue skies, sunshine reflecting off the snow and ice…pretty much a postcard-perfect day if I’ve ever seen one. So even though it’s still stupid cold, this is the first day in weeks I haven’t had to turn on a light in my living room in the middle of the day, and it’s cause for celebration.
