The GlowLight Plus is the First Waterproof Nook Dylan Duarte October 21, 2015 News Amazon may be dominating the ebook business with their Kindle line, but Barnes & Noble isn’t going out without a fight. They company may have looked down and out last year when they discontinued the Nook and the Nook HD+, but they’re back with a vengeance with the waterproof Nook GlowLight Plus. The original GlowLight has been around for a few years, so Barnes & Noble took their time whipping up a successor, but here it is. It’s got a 300ppi display, which is twice as many pixels as its predecessor, and its aluminum body is slimmer than that of the original GlowLight, despite being heavier. The GlowLight Plus looks like a solid e-reader and I hope for Barnes & Noble’s sake it does really well for them. The sad truth is that Nook is hanging on by a thread, despite Samsung making co-branded Nook tablets like the Galaxy Tab S2. Barnes & Noble needs to hang in there. Like Kanye West said, “no one man should have all that power,” and that man is Jeff Bezos over at Amazon. Head over to the GlowLight Plus product page to read more about it and watch some videos.
