This Is the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition Bundle Michael Kwan August 8, 2018 News The nostalgia game is strong and for good reason. If you’re looking forward to having a smashing good time later this year, then you’ll want to check out this Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition bundle for the Nintendo Switch. I mean, just look at it. Bask in its glory as you soak in the possibility of smashing with a GameCube controller again… you’ll just have to pony up a few more Bowser Bucks to get it. Revealed by way of the Nintendo UK VS Twitter account, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition bundle will include a copy of the game itself (of course), as well as a Super Smash Bros. edition GameCube controller and the GameCube controller adapter. Of course, you could just as easily buy those two last products separately, but I imagine there may be some incremental savings by going with the bundle. And it’s “limited edition,” so maybe there’s a surprise something inside? For reference, the game itself is probably going to retail for the same $60 US as every other Nintendo top-tier title. The Smash Bros. Ultimate edition GameCube controller is currently up on pre-order for $30 and the GameCube adapter for the Switch is listed at $20. Both of them should ship at the same time as the game itself. It’s notable that the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition bundle only includes one GameCube controller too, so you’ll need to buy a few more for local play. In addition to the official re-release of the GameCube controller, you might also consider these themed controllers by Hori if they ever get released outside of Japan. And speaking of regions, the Limited Edition bundle is also currently only being shown for the Europe/UK market, so it’s not entirely clear if it’ll be sold anywhere else either. They also have not announced pricing. But in a tangentially related note, we’ve got some new characters entering the battle for Smash Bros. Ultimate, also announced today. There’s King K. Rool from Donkey Kong Country, as well as Dark Samus and several characters from Castlevania, including Simon Belmont.
