Alarms are universally hated. Even for early birds, it’s much nicer to wake up naturally in accordance with your circadian rhythm than it is to be jolted out of your sleep by a song, much less a beeping sound. We’ve all experienced that familiar fumbling around in the dark, reaching for the clock or the phone in an attempt to shut it off. What if you couldn’t shut it off, though? And what if, on top of that, it wasn’t even going off on the correct day?

That’s the issue users of the Sonos app are experiencing right now. One, the alarms can’t be turned off. Two, they’re going off a day early. The only way to turn them off, and this is advocated by Sonos themselves, is to delete the alarm from the app entirely.

Sonos is supposedly looking into the issue, and right now the only “solution” is to use a different app. The fact that it’s a leap year may play into the wrong-day issue, but that doesn’t explain why you can’t shut the alarms off. Maddening!
