Chimps Attack Aerial Drone That Invades Their Personal Space Dylan Duarte April 14, 2015 Extras Of all the drone stories in the news and the ones we’ve posted here at MEGATech News, this one is by far my favorite. Some filmmakers who are making a show about the Royal Burgers’ Zoo in Netherlands thought it would be a good idea to fly a drone into the chimps’ wooded enclosure to get some close up footage, but the chimps were having none of it. As you can see in the video posted below, as soon as the drone made its way into the enclosure the chimps began swinging at it with sticks, and once they got it on the ground they quickly pounced and dismantled it. The drone was dead on the scene, but the attached GoPro survived, giving us the video. Score one for GoPro. I could probably make some falsely profound comment about man versus nature, but instead I’ll say this: when the robot uprising occurs, it will be the animals that save us. Unless we get a Beast Wars-type scenario where the machines are the animals, then we are well and truly finished. Share This With The World!
