Skype Bug Sends Your Messages to the Wrong Contacts Dylan Duarte July 16, 2012 Those who use Skype beware: your messages might not go to the person they’re supposed to go to. An update in June had an unwanted effect on the networking app and now users are reporting wayward messages going to unintended parties. It sounds like the recipient still gets the message, but a copy is forwarded to a third party in the user’s contact list. This doesn’t happen all of the time, though. Some users have reported only a few messages going astray while others have reported entire conversations winding up in someone else’s inbox. Skype has released a statement confirming that they’re aware of the issue and that there should be a fix available in the next few days. This is obviously a massive breach of privacy and the embarrassment potential is through the roof. Until that update rolls out, be especially careful who you send saucy messages to. via Skype Share This With The World!
