SHAREfactory Brings Video Editing to PlayStation 4 Dylan Duarte April 17, 2014 One of the selling points of the current generation consoles was the ability to record and share video with all of your friends with just a few button presses. Well, now it’s going to be even easier for PlayStation 4 users to share exactly what they want as the next update will add video editing software to the system. The v1.70 release will be the console’s first major software update and will add the SHAREfactory application which will not only allow users to edit film, but also add various effects like text, transitions, and filters. Commentary can be added using the PlayStation Camera and custom music is also an option. While SHAREfactory seems to be the major change coming out of the next update, it’s not the only thing. Users will get the option to switch off HDCP so that they can capture video directly. There will also be an auto pre-download feature that can pre-download certain upcoming games days before their release. There is no set date for v1.70 yet, so we’ll just have to stay tuned. via The Verge Share This With The World!
