Are you someone that needs the specs of your system to be north of ridiculous? Well if your perepherals are the same way, then you need not look any further than the wonderful people at ROCCAT. While new to the US, they have been making great PC gaming gear for years in Germany. The newest entry is the ROCCAT Kone XTD Gaming Mouse.

The specs for the ROCCAT Kone XTD are unbelievable. I don’t mean that in an advertising buzz word kinda way. I honestly believe they are unnecessary for like 90% of users, but that is why they are customizable. The Kone XTD has a 32-bit Turbo Core V2 72 MHz ARM MCU processor, an 8200 DPI Pro Aim R3 laser sensor, and the ROCCAT software package. You have not changed websites by mistake. This gaming mouse has a 32-bit processor and laser sensor that is more accurate than most laser printers.

On top of being the most OP gaming mouse ever built, the ROCCAT Kone XTD comes with the same ROCCAT Talk, Easy-Shift[+], and ROCCAT’s great customization software where you can change practically everything. This would be a great product for those using 4k monitors, or multiple screen setups via Eyefinity as you would not have to sacrifice mouse response due to a larger screen surface. For everyone else….bragging rights are useful I guess.

ROCCAT to Offer First Glimpse of Kone XTD Flagship Mouse at Computex and E3

31 May 2012 – German gaming peripherals manufacturer, ROCCAT Studios, will unveil one of the most powerful gaming devices ever – and successor to the world famous Kone[+] – with the sneak preview of the ROCCAT Kone XTD Max Customization Gaming Mouse at the E3 expo in Los Angeles and the Computex expo in Taipei on June 5.

Extending the already formidable capabilities of the legendary Kone[+], the XTD is powered by an impressive performance package loaded with the latest 8200 DPI Pro Aim R3 laser sensor, a 32-bit Turbo Core V2 72MHz ARM MCU processor, and the world’s most advanced Tracking & Distance Control Unit – all working in clockwork unison to deliver world-beating battle ability. It also features a new mega-tough, ultra-precise scroll wheel designed to let gamers give every command with absolute accuracy.

Add to that a range of ergonomic features designed to deliver the longest play comfort, like a perfectly balanced right-handed design and a finger-pampering soft touch surface – as well as a suite of the world’s most advanced gaming software for max customization – and the Kone XTD promises to be the Hamburg based company’s most powerful gaming mouse to date.

“We’ve taken the Kone franchise to new heights with the XTD,” says René Korte, ROCCAT Founder and CEO. “This is a supreme gaming weapon custom-built for the most demanding warriors. We can’t wait to show off the newest big cat of gaming mice at E3 and Computex.”

The Kone XTD also comes standard with many exclusive features much loved by Kone[+] fans, including Easy-Shift[+] technology, which lets users double the functions of their buttons and wheel, and ROCCAT Talk, which lets the XTD communicate with compatible products – like the ROCCAT Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard – to provide “set bonus” gaming advantages that let gamers play faster and with more accuracy.

The Kone XTD even comes loaded with the new ROCCAT Achievements Display – or R.A.D. – a fun and useful app that tracks a wide range of gaming statistics for analysis and hands out trophies when exceptional milestones have been reached. The Kone XTD is expected to hit shelves internationally September 2012. Select E3 and Computex visitors can test drive the XTD at ROCCAT booths.
