The Puls is a New “Smart Cuff” From Will.i.am Dylan Duarte October 16, 2014 Will.i.am has done a lot of things in his life. He’s the lead singer for the Los Angeles-based hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas. He had a co-starring role in the absurdly terrible X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He started a consumer electronics brand called i.am+. And, most impressive of all, he has waged a one-mar war on the English language. With the release of his new “smart cuff” The Puls, I fear he is winning that war. The Puls is not a watch, as Mr. i.am points out, but a wearable wristband that makes phone calls and can access online services. The device is being pushed as a way to communicate, play music, and track your fitness, while the advantage it has over competing devices, according to Will.i.am, is that it’s much more fashionable. Where it gets a little crazy is the jackets that contain battery packs and can power the device for multiple days as long as it remains in contact with the sleeve. Obviously that might be a little tricky to pull off while working out, but it’s a novel idea if nothing else. There’s no pricing or release information outside of “the holidays” but The Puls will come in black, white, pink, blue, solid-gold and diamond-studded. That’s not a joke. via The Verge Share This With The World!
