When Sony formally announced the new Xperia Z3 early last month, they didn’t make any formal indication as to how much it would cost and what carriers would be offering it. If you’ve been anxious to get your hands on the newest hotness from Sony, your wait will soon be over. Pre-orders for the new flagship Xperia Z3 will commence this Wednesday, October 15th.

The carrier partner in the United States for the Xperia Z3 is T-Mobile, which shouldn’t come as all that much of a surprise given the Uncarrier’s support of previous Sony devices. There is also the Xperia Z3v for Verizon, but we’ve been hearing that the Z3v could just be a jazzed-up version of the old Xperia Z2 rather than truly being based on the Z3. In any case, if you want the real deal Z3, T-Mobile is the place to go unless you want to pay full clip for an unlocked model.

As a quick refresher, the Sony Xperia Z3 is equipped with a 5.2-inch 1080p TRILUMINOS display, 2.5GHz Qual Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, and that nifty 20.7MP shooter. It’s got that waterproof thing going on too.

Expect the Xperia Z3 to list at $0.00 when you factor in the 24 monthly installments of $26.25. Pre-orders start this Wednesday, as mentioned, but the actual launch won’t be until October 29. Sadly, there are still no indication of any plans to bring the Z3 Compact our way.
