Pokemon Go Now Available in Canada Dylan Duarte July 18, 2016 News Stop side-loading those malicious APKs, Canadians! Pokemon Go is now officially available in the Great White North. Developer Niantic Labs made the announcement via Twitter and shortly after the servers crashed, but were running smoothly again in no time. This comes right after the game was launched in an additional 26 countries. Funny enough, Japan – Niantic’s home country – doesn’t have the game yet. The developer is wisely holding back until they can improve their servers, which will undoubtedly go down once the game becomes available there. The company has plans to release the game in around 200 more regions sometime in the future. Now that your Pokemon journeys can begin, my Canadian friends, I implore you to exercise caution while out hunting pocket monsters. Players have been getting into all sorts of trouble and even getting injured, so be mindful of your surroundings and – I can’t believe I’m about to tell this to a bunch of adults – look both ways before crossing the street.
