Nintendo Announces Mobile “Game” Miitomo Dylan Duarte October 29, 2015 News Nintendo has announced the first mobile game to come out of their partnership with DeNa, and it’s not what you would expect. You’re not going to find Mario or Luigi or Link. There aren’t any Pokemon. Samus is nowhere to be found. Also, it’s not really a game. On second thought, considering the weird stuff Nintendo gets up to, this might be exactly what some of you expected. Miitomo is a free-to-play (with optional premium content) app that lets you communicate with friends through your own personal Mii character. Does it sound like an interesting social network? Yeah, I guess. It’s not a game, though. It’s so much not a game that it makes Minecraft look like the gamiest game. Miitomo will hit devices in March 2016, despite earlier reports that the first game to come out of the Nintendo/DeNa partnership would be released before the end of the year. According to Nintendo, they want ample time to get the word out about Miitomo to make sure people know exactly what it is. Man, I sure can’t wait to see what Nintendo’s first mobile game will be!
