The transition from Nokia-branded Lumia smartphones to Microsoft-branded Lumia smartphones continues today with the newest launch at Big Red. Verizon Wireless will now be carrying the Microsoft Lumia 735, low to mid-range Windows Phone device that comes in the Lumia’s signature colorful cases.

The biggest focus for this particular phone, no pun intended, is its 5-megapixel front-facing camera. They’re gearing it toward selfie enthusiasts, offering a wider angle for capturing more than just a close-up of your face. There’s also the Lumia Selife app from Microsoft with editing options like cropping and cutting.

The rest of the specs on the Lumia 735 aren’t terribly exciting; they’re just adequate for the entry-level user with a 4.7-inch 720p ClearBlack display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage (seriously?), and a paltry 6.7MP rear-facing camera. The battery is 2200mAh. Expect to pay $79.99 on a two-year contract. Alternatively, you can do 24 monthly payments of $8 with Verizon Edge.
