The Mad Catz L.Y.N.X. Controller is Ambitious If Nothing Else Dylan Duarte January 9, 2015 So hey, here’s a thing! Of all of the hardware that’s come out of CES 2015, this is by far the craziest. It’s the L.Y.N.X. gaming controller from Mad Catz. It costs $299 and is literally a transformer. I mean, it’s not sentient and it’s not going to save the world, but it does indeed transform. To get the full effect you really need to scroll down and check out the pictures in the gallery and the unboxing video. It’s a controller with a keyboard attached, not unlike the Xbox 360 Chatpad, but it can also break down so that it fits around your smartphone or tablet. There’s also a mode that attached your smartphone to the top of that, if you prefer to game that way. It also looks like it can be weaponized, but that may just be me misinterpreting one of the configurations. This is some Willy Wonka level stuff right here. It connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth, can last 30 hours on a single change, has a built-in microphone, and the buttons can be completely re-mapped to suit whatever you’re playing. Check out the pictures and the video and decide if you want to blow $300 on this bad boy. via Droid Life Share This With The World!
