Diamond Multimedia has quite the broad-sweeping product portfolio, looking to the PC gaming community just as much as it provides IT solutions for the everyday mainstream user too. At CES 2015, several new devices were announced by Diamond Multimedia and a good number of them are aimed at providing better connectivity in a more user-friendly package.

Some key highlights include:

  • BVU5500 USB 3.0 4K Display Adapter: Do you want to get a 4K monitor but your computer isn’t set up to handle that? This handy little USB adapter plugs into an available USB 3.0 port and spits out full 4K ultra HD resolution via DisplayPort 1.2. No external power supply is needed and you can link up to six displays (one BVU5500 per monitor) using this solution.
  • GC2000 1080p Capture Box: In my review of the GC1000, I mentioned that the lack of streaming support was unfortunate. The upgraded GC2000 features a new design and it has a built-in streaming interface for Twitch and Ustream users. You can connect it to your PC via USB for full functionality or it can operate as a standalone game capture box with 1080p.
  • WL600AC Dual Band 802.11ac Network Adapter: You don’t need a big, bulky adapter to add 802.11ac connectivity to your laptop or desktop. The infinitely tiny Diamond Multimedia WL600AC is dual band (2.4GHz/5GHz) for speeds of up to 150Mbps and 433Mbps, respectively. There’s a WPS button on-board too.
  • WPCTV3000 Wireless Video and Screen Sharing Adapter: This is an evolution of products like the WPCTVPRO that we’ve seen before, expanding to include more platforms like iOS and Android, as well as Windows and Mac OS. Sharing your content on the big screen of an HDTV is getting better and better.
