iGrill Products Now Available for Android Users

It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since I first looked at the iGrill, but the date stamp on the post doesn’t lie. At that time, the entire iGrill system (iGrill2, iGrill mini, Kitchen Thermometer, & Kitchen Thermometer mini) were only available for iOS, so those of us using Android were left out in the cold. Or, rather, in the heat, since we had to hover over our grills and stoves instead of relaxing elsewhere while those gadgets kept track of our food for us. That is now set to change, because the entire iGrill line is now available for Android!

There is a caveat, of course… the app is only available for Bluetooth Smart Ready Android devices running 4.3 or later. But since odds are good most of us probably have that, it shouldn’t be a huge deal. And since we’re nearing the end of summer, you certainly have time to plan ahead for next year. As with the iOS version, Android users will be able to connect to multiple iDevices, set their own timers and alarms, and share what they’re cooking to social media. In addition, iGrill iDevices offer exclusive recipes and dinner inspirations for when you’re out of ideas.

The iGrill app is available now in the Google Play Store, and of course is still available in the App Store (compatible with all iOS devices, including iPhone 4S and above, iPad mini, iPad 3 and above and iPod touch 5). The iGrill devices can be purchased in a number of locations, including Best Buy, Amazon, and Lowe’s.
