The HP Chromebook 14 didn’t get a warm reception when it hit the market and was immediately slammed for having a less-than-stellar screen, but credit where credit is due, HP has taken that criticism to heart and is re-releasing their Chromebook with the option to includea 1080p touchscreen that looks (and feels) much better.

The monitor isn’t the only thing that’s been upgraded, either. This new model has 4GB RAM, double the amount on the initial release. The Tegra K1 chipset is unchanged, but still plenty powerful for whatever you need to get done. This is a Chromebook after all, it’s not exactly intended for heavy lifting.

Speaking of heavy lifting, however, the HP Chromebook 14 is fairly heavy, especially for a Chromebook. Keep in that mind if you’re traveling. The new edition of the HP Chromebook 14 comes exclusively in a silver/black combo, though it looks good, so hopefully that’s comforting for those lamenting the lack of color options. It will cost you $439.99 and it’s available now.
