We were pretty certain that it was coming. We just didn’t expect it to come so soon. If you’re like me and you’ve been interested in picking up a Surface for years but couldn’t justify the cost, you’re in luck. Or you will be as of tomorrow when Microsoft will reportedly reveal its new, more affordable Microsoft Surface Go. At least that’s what this official tweet leads us to believe.

The Twitter tease offers us at least a couple of clues of what we should expect from the cheaper Surface tablet. You’ll notice, for example, that all the Surface devices depicted show a date and time of Tuesday, July 10 at 6:00 am Pacific. That’s tomorrow morning.

You’ll also notice the shadow of a secret device just out of frame on the right. Presumably, that’s going to be the new Surface. And the caption may have snuck in the new Surface Go name too. We’ve been hearing about the cheaper Surface for some time, but were never sure what to call it. The Surface Mini? The Mini Surface? The Surface S?

As you might recalled, the pending Microsoft Surface Go sounds like it’ll have a 10-inch screen and much less powerful chips in order to achieve the $400 starting price point. That’s a fraction of how much it costs to get a Surface now, opening up this market to a whole new set of potential customers, including the education market.

While this likely won’t be the Andromeda Pocket Surface or Surface Phone we’d been hoping for, a $400 Surface Go sounds pretty good too.
