Undo Send Coming to WhatsApp Too? Michael Kwan January 30, 2017 News Have you ever sent someone a message in WhatsApp and immediately regretted it? In this age of social media updates that vanish after 24 hours, perhaps it’s only appropriate that WhatsApp will soon implement an “undo send” feature for its mobile messenger. It’s being reported by The Telegraph that WhatsApp will soon provide users with the ability to recall sent messages. This only works with unread message, so once the recipient opens and reads your embarrassing confession of drunken love, you can’t take it back. This goes beyond the “undo send” feature that we all love so much in Gmail. In the Gmail version, you are only given a window of a few seconds before your email gets blasted off to the recipient. With the WhatsApp version, you have until it is read. Presumably, this works with the pictures and video you later regret sending too. For the time being, the delete function is being tested in the beta version of the next WhatsApp update, so it may or may not ever make it to the public version. WhatsApp also plans on making it easier to share your location data with friends in the next update. You enable this for 1, 2, or 5 minutes, or indefinitely. Share This With The World!
